Tim Spetnagel

Tim SpetnagelI first visited Honduras in 1998 on a work team with Crossroads Church, my home church in Circleville, Ohio. I helped with the youth group along side Gary Ingo, our youth pastor at that time. During that trip, God began His work in me to come to Honduras for the future.

I started doing ministry at an early age, working with youth all my life. I begn as a youth counselor in church camps, and then the Lord opened the door for me to help at Jefferson Church (Crossroads), where I became the assistant youth leader in 1990. During the early 1990’s, the Lord opened up other areas of ministry while I attended Circleville Bible College, including teaching Sunday school to 5th and 6th grade boys. This was one of my most fun experiences with ministry. I spent two years on South Central District youth board with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, and for four years I served as the administrator with the day care and preschool at Crossroads. God blessed me through this gratifying.

I work in the area of education in our ministry in Choluteca. In the future, we plan to start a recreation outreach to the community. This will give us another outlet of ministry to the youth in Choluteca. I also work with groups that come from the United States.

Joy is a relative word; it is a state of mind!!! My joy comes from a place that only God can give. To serve the Lord anywhere is joy. To serve the Father in Honduras is a great joy. My greatest joy is to serve in any ministry in Honduras.
