God has allowed us to be a part of the ministry in Honduras, Central America, since 1982. For the first 22 years we worked at Escuela El Sembrador. Terry was the general director; Colleen was the station hostess, was in charge of the students' kitchen and dining room, and for many years kept the books. We loved the students and felt that one of our biggest ministries was just living our lives in front of the students, showing them what a Christian family is like, and being good examples to them in our daily lives. Over six thousand students have attended El Sembrador since it opened in 1954, and we thank God for the privilege of knowing many of them personally and having a small part in their lives.

When we returned to Honduras for our 5th term of service, God had many changes in store for us. We returned without any of our children. Jeremy was married to Michelle in 2000, and Ben and Jenny were attending Indiana Wesleyan University. Ben married Lindsey in May of 2005, and Jenny is now in her junior year at IWU. So we are empty-nesters.

In September, 2006, Terry became the Honduras field director. We are currently living at the guesthouse in Tegucigalpa and hosting all the missionaries, pastors, and groups that come through. Terry has been directly involved with the National Church and serves on the executive committee. We've done a lot of traveling all over Honduras to visit our missionaries and pastors. One little side benefit is that many of our pastors are graduates of the El Sembrador Bible Institute, so it's been a blessing to see them in their churches and with their families serving God.
