Building Relationships
Category: General
Mother's Day in Honduras affords us many opportunities to build relationships!
God opens doors to people's hearts and we share as God directs.
This week we had the opportunity to build deeper relationships with the staff of Nuevo Mundo High School (NMHS).
Mother's day is one of the BIGGEST holidays that Honduras celebrates.
Because there are several male teachers at NMHS that love to joke around and have fun, including Bob, they prepared a day full of laughter and enjoyment!
Every teacher enjoyed posing for their photos in these Mother's Day caricatures, Bob and I included!
Bob prepared a huge five gallon thermos of fresh strawberry drink - strawberries that he grows on the mission/church property. Then he helped German grill the corn-on-the-cob! Yummy!
The men came prepared with a Biblical drama about Salomon's God given wisdom when he judges two women who claim to own the same child. Of course, the guys added many personal touches.
We enjoyed several group games and sports activities.
But a real FUN Honduran party always includes a piñata.
Bob and I want to thank you for partnering with us in building relationships!
We challenge you to pray often for the people God has placed in our lives.
Join us in praying as Paul did when he said, "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and his incomparably great power for us who beleive" Ephesians 1:18-19.
God has an awesome salvation messsage for these people to understand.
Thank you for caring about the people God has placed in our lives!

You need to get to know the CREAS Family!
CREAS is the acronym for Samaritan Substance Rehabilitation Center.
Our local church, "More Than Conquerors" Evangelical Holiness Church is providing new hope for alcohol and drug users along with their families.
You could be the next link to recovery for these men.
Let us tell you the most recent story of some folks that have been part of the link to recovery.
Ed came to share a part of his life. Through the power of his personal testimony, the families and 22 men of our rehab center men heard about God's transforming power!
Our rehab men received love from this work team's ladies' Bible study group. Coffee mugs filled with cookies and candies were shared! Linda, one of my best friends came to share her life with us!
Ed, Linda and Kenny came to help. They came to share their gift of love and laughter!
They used games to break down barriers and make us laugh!
Mother's Day was the perfect time to invite each family to come share the men's lives.
CREAS is a Christ-centered rehabilitation center.
Your ministry of prayer over these men and their families enables the links to recovery. We invite you to pray daily for these men. Pray that they can build new lives for themselves and their families.
The ladies of our local church built on this team's ministry of love for day two of God's love, good food and encouragement!
Linda shared from the Word of God and helped us envision the real life applications we can make for ourselves!God's Word is living and active!
Again, we challenge you to be like Ed, Linda and Ken! Be the link to recovery for the rehab men of La Esperanza!
P.S. This is Stephanie with the team and Bob. Stephanie is a volunteer in La Esperanza! More later on her life!
