Extended family times

Category: General

Angie was thrilled to be able to see her grandparents’ home and area where her dad grew up. We were saddened in the past two months when Larry’s maternal aunt and Angie’s maternal uncle passed away. We saw some of our family during those times. We have also been able to see our immediate families during some get-togethers.

Angie's Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Wally. They were married to my dad's siblings so are in-laws.

Angie's Aunt Mary (winking) and Uncle Jerry, along with Jerry's sister Rose and husband Charles, NC

What a blessing to be able to visit with our families while we are home!

Trip to the southeast and eastern US

Category: General

What a blessing it has been to visit many friends in the eastern and southeastern US during this past month! We needed another month to see everyone we needed to see. We were in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. We were able to participate in local activities, such as birthday parties, family get-togethers with friends, a barbecue at a horse ranch, where Fox-hunting is a big activity, share at churches and with friends and our families. Thank you to all who welcomed us into their home. We had a great time being able to share about the ministry in Choluteca. Please pray for the country of Honduras as there are several key political events happening these days.

Bill and Candy Brummer and family: South Carolina. We have been good friends for many, many years. They have volunteered in Honduras several times, and led work groups.

Brenda Purser, Georgia;Brenda and her husband Ron came to Choluteca on a work group in February.

Dee and Beth Heinz, Proctorville, Ohio

George and Ethel Ulrich, Proctorville, Ohio

John and Mary McNutt and son (former volunteers to Choluteca): great friends who were back visiting in Ohio from Montana.

Mary Hammock and family: Mary and her husband Harvey, who passed away this year, volunteered many times at El Sembrador and in Choluteca, including driving a pick-up to Honduras for us.

Fort Valley UMC, Georgia: they sent a group to Choluteca in June.

Pat Ash and Mary Kessick, Proctorville, Ohio

Paul Docherty and friend, Florence, SC. We have known Paul and Kathy for 30 years.

Rhonda Holton and daughter Jonna, Grovetown, Georgia. Rhonda came on a workteam earlier this year.

Randy and Peggy West, missionaries with WGM, and their family: PA

Paul and Katie Kirk, long-time friends, WV

Former work team members from China Grove, NC. In front are Ed and Linda Sloan. We worked with Linda for many years at El Sembrador and in Choluteca.

Butch and Bunny Goodman, Americus, GA. Long-time friends. They used to have greenhouses and were a great source of advice when we lived at El Sembrador.
